The Reviews Say it All for Hotel Consumers

“Price. What’s the Price? How much does it cost?” These used to be the most paramount words and phrases for consumers looking to purchase a hotel room, safari lodge, or vacation-style stay.

Our blog is taking a turn this Friday and for good reason, too. Purchasing power is no longer a one way street determined solely by price. It’s a two-way street where consumers are the dominant influencers when it comes to hotel purchasing decisions. So it’s time to speak consumer to consumer, because in today’s world “you’ve got the power!”

You’ve got the power of user-generated content. Your personal reviews of a hotelier (good or bad) are not only being acknowledged, but have risen to the top of the loyalty ladder for choosing a place to rest your head at night. A Tnooz article  performed a study based on how consumers process UCG (user-generated content) and price when choosing a hotel room and the stats don’t lie: Reviews followed by price contributed the most to consumer choice behaviour.

These reviews, along with an image from their slice of Africa, certainly capture the character and experience waiting for guests at these exquisite properties.
