In this website case study, we take you behind the scenes of how we built the Garonga Safari Co. website. From thoughtful UX and considered design to strategic content structure, creating a seamless journey from discovery to booking.
Website: www.garonga.com
The Client:
Garonga Safari Co. is a luxury safari destination in South Africa’s Greater Makalali Private Nature Reserve. The official website is a public platform where visitors can explore the camp, discover the safari experience and book their accommodation.
The Challenge:
This is one brand encompassing three distinct safari camps. Each has its own story, accommodation and offering, alongside extensive content covering the reserve, conservation, activities, rates and booking information.
The challenge was to organise this wealth of content into a clear, engaging and easy-to-navigate website. While working within the brand’s predominantly brown colour palette, to create visual variety and hierarchy.
Services:
- Website design
- Site mapping
- Content creation
- Website development
The Solution:
The website was restructured to break Garonga’s extensive offering into clear, manageable sections, with dedicated pages for each of the three camps.
With brown as the dominant brand colour, we used typography, imagery, layout and whitespace to create visual hierarchy and give each section room to breathe. The result is a considered user journey that takes visitors from discovering Garonga through to exploring the camps and considering a booking.
