One website to rule them all!

plain

With the recent rise of the ‘ mobilegeddon ’, responsive website design has never been more important. A recent study by comScore suggested mobile devices are responsible for as much as 60% of website traffic. This essentially means that if your website isn’t mobile-friendly, you are not reaching 60% of your potential clients.

So what exactly is Responsive Web Design? I’ll let Ridivi explain that to you:

“Responsive Web Design (RWD) is an approach of laying-out and coding a website such that the website provides an optimal viewing experience — ease of reading and navigation with a minimum of resizing, panning, and scrolling — across a wide range of devices (from desktop computer monitors to mobile phones). The designer creating a Responsive Design should ensure that the website’s navigation elements, screen-layouts, text, images, audio/video players and other UI elements re-adjust themselves on a variety of devices. Thus, one need not spend extra time and money in creating and maintaining one “mobile-site version” and another “desktop-site version” of the website.”

Basically, if you don’t speak ‘tech’, this means that the there is one website to rule them all.

David recently created a really great, easy to use website for our client, Sunbird Tourism Services . Here’s his take on the matter:

“Sometimes the simplest solution is best. Some businesses only need a concise, easy to understand website to let potential clients know what they are about. Sunbird Tourism Services needed just such a website.

The highlight here is that this smart one pager works on any device. No matter your screen size the site is easy to use and read. It was a lot of fun for us to polish this aspect of the build, re-writing and re-thinking it until the responsiveness of the website functions seamlessly even while resizing screens on the fly.

We are very proud of this little site; check it out here
