With mobile browsing constituting more than half the internet traffic in South Africa, it’s safe to say that the days of “desktop-only” websites are over. At WildWeb, we’re trying as far as possible to design all our new sites using Responsive Design. That means, your site scales and adjusts to all screen types and sizes, from the largest Apple Cinema Display all the way down to the phone in your pocket. It’s our way of making sure your customers and visitors can all experience your website flawlessly, no matter what device they’re using.
With that in mind, we’ve just launched the new [highlight] Devil’s Pool experience site [/highlight] . For those of you who haven’t heard of Devil’s Pool, it’s a pool at the top of Victoria Falls where you can safely swim to the edge of the falls, with tons of water rushing past you. Not an activity for the faint of heart!
The new Devil’s Pool site has got a bunch of neat features like an on-page video and parallaxing images which give a sense of depth when you scroll the page. Most important of all, the site looks just as good on your desktop, laptop, tablet and mobile phone. Well, that’s unless you’re still rocking that old Nokia 3310…
