If there’s one thing we love doing even more than designing websites, it’s showing them off afterwards. Sure, boasting is ‘frowned upon’, but we do it so subtly that you’ll never even notice…Because we’re oh so sneaky like that. Alright, but jokes aside, we really do want to share our latest brain child with you. Shannon, our incredibly creative and super tech savvy designer recently launched a new website for one of our favourite clients, the Zambezi Queen Collection .
We take a look at what went into this project (prepare for tech-speak)…
Ichobezi Safari Boats have been one of our clients for years. They offer personalised stays aboard houseboats drifting along the magical Chobe River in Botswana. Bliss! Just last year they were acquired by a larger company who also owns houseboats and amalgamated into one new entity – The Zambezi Queen Collection.
Our task was to take the existing websites and combine them into one new site encompassing everything they now offer. The first step was to design a gorgeous, brand new website and then, once we gathered all the relevant information and images, we began with development.
It was quite a huge site build that also included an edited, 50 second video as the attracting feature on the home page. Shan designed and built the front end of the site, and our head web-developer, Jono, developed the CMS which gives the client easy access and control over departure dates, prices, guest comments and news.
ZQ Collection had also hired a new Online Marketing Manager, Kate, to oversee the project. She was really involved in the progress of the site and was always on top of everything, which is a huge help in such large-scale site developments.
Although it was a long and laborious build, at the end product was definitely worth it! A top-class site for a top-class establishment! That’s how we do it here at WildWeb .
Check out the website here and decide for yourself whether it was worth boasting about: www.zqcollection.com
