Variety, the spice of life – New look Amakhosi.com goes live

Back in 2008 Amakhosi Safari Lodge, in northern KZN, came to us asking for an overhaul to the simple website they had built, years prior, by another web development company.

They were forward thinkers and wanted more online control, with the ability to confirm bookings off of their site, blog about their latest news and offerings and upload the stunning images they capture (their owner is an incredible photographer… by the way!). We nodded dutifully and went to work producing a bigger, better website a few weeks later.

As time passed the website received heaps of praise from visitors, an increased volume in online traffic and even a great review from a website journo (strangely they exist!). Most importantly Amakhosi was superbly chuffed with its success.

Fast forward to 2011 and Amakhosi came back looking for more.

Yes, website design,  like fashion, changes with the times and Amakhosi wanted to keep their edge in the market with a fresh new look and feel. As they say ‘variety is the spice of life’ and (unlike Vodacom) sometimes a new lick of paint can do wonders to a brand’s identity.

Last week we launched the new amakhosi.com which we and Amakhosi were downright stoked with. All the mechanics from the previous build are there – the online bookings, great galleries and blogging platform – but in a completely different skin.

The major change was how we showcased Amkhosi’s A-grade photography. From the homepage to the contact us page each click of the mouse is a jaw dropping appreciation of stunning African Wildlife imagery.
