The Royal Natal Yacht Club has a brand new website that flipped live last week, adding another tidy website listing in WildWeb’s portfolio cabinet.
Apart from the fresh look, the RNYC, as they are more affectionately called, wanted a website that they could have complete control over. They needed to be able to log on and add new news stories, update their page content, slider images and update their public documents. Usually, when a client asks us for a content managed website we normally offer them two options – a custom WildWeb content manager, or an open source content manager, like WordPress.
In this case, WordPress was the go to for the RNYC, something quick and easy to get to grips with. After the website was built all it took was a simple two hour tutorial about logging in, finding the right pages and adding their content. In no time they had everything under control. After that we simply hand the website over to them and let them get on with it.
Thanks to WordPress’s versatile plugins most of the functionality the RNYC wwanted for their site, like an automated events calendar and a document listing section, were an easy plugin away.
