We have been shooting safari lodges since 1990. Equipment, editing tools, software and media storage all have cost implications that one needs to consider.

Travel
To travel to any destination the associated costs of flights or vehicle transportation are also charged to the client. When on a trip to a country we can sometimes help with travel experiences should we be able to service more lodges thus reducing the travel costs amongst two or more clients.
Accommodation
During any shoot the cost of accommodations is also at the cost of the client. From time we also do discounts and trade exchanges on our services should any staff be looking to extent their stay for the experience of visiting these amazing destinations we service.
Costs
Daily rate is R7 600 per day.
How much media do I get from the daily rate?
Some properties are more difficult to shoot from others and hence that make a difference on the ability to shoot under different lighting conditions. It is important for us to quote on the amount of days required based on the footage required. In our experience the following could provide some estimates:
1. 14 Bed Safari exclusive safari lodge - 3 Days including day of arrival but not day of departure - 3 Days
2. A larger resort and hotel with extended facilities and activities - 5 Days
3. Industrial property - 1 Day
Media storage
Client files and stored on a Microsoft One drive or Drop Box account for easy access when required. Your files are also stored in the Adobe Creative cloud for collaborative work with media partners.
Video Editing
Video editing is very time consuming and requires added media like music and voice overlays. A video production must be quoted on based on the client requirements. The post formatting of material for web optimisation also adds to production times. Clips are also required for social media and need to be prepared in custom aspect ratios and client branding.
