Everyone loves YouTube, right? It is not only used for entertainment, but also as a fabulous marketing medium – particularly for the safari industry, which most of our WildWeb clients are involved in.
But what happens to old videos when YouTube is flooding with new content constantly?
Not may viewers feel like digging out old, outdated content when they can view videos with fresh, current content popping up on their timeline. To start getting more viewers consider adding subtitles to your videos, for this visit https://www.espressotranslations.com/subtitle-translation-services/.
We decided to research on how to get more YouTube views on existing videos, and implement the research findings on one of our clients, Tongabezi .
So, we have listed some of our tips below:
1. Keywords
Most digital marketers know that relevant keywords are important in reaching their target audience. But once you’ve added your keywords to a video, you won’t really think to revise them at a later stage, right?
Well, by redoing your keyword research, you may find a bunch of new words that are applicable to your video that you didn’t think of adding before. Add your most relevant keywords in the title, too. Should you want to add a pinch of creativity, you can add your creative part at the end of the title and separate the parts with a dash.
We went through every video on Tongabezi’s YouTube channel and updated their keywords.
2. Add a video to your home page slider gallery
Well-designed websites usually have lovely images on the home page. If you’re planning to increase your YouTube views, why not embed a video slider there instead? It will appear as an image with a play button sign on it, so your web visitors know it’s a video. When the visitor clicks on it, it opens a video based on YouTube, and viewing it on the website will be counted as a YouTube view too. Score!
3. Playlists
Playlists increase your video’s chance of being seen, as the videos come up separately in search results. You can group together your own videos or other creators’ videos that are relevant to your video. Being featured in this playlist increases your video’s chance of showing up in the “Suggested Videos” when someone is watching another YouTube video on the playlist. This certainly is a fabulous opportunity to increase your views.
We created a playlist about the Tongabezi experience, grouping their lodge room videos together.
4. Blogging
If you have an external blog, it can be a great idea to create a blog post around your existing YouTube video that you can link to and embed the video in the blog post. This way an old video can be easily found and seen by new viewers. If the video is embedded instead of uploaded, it will also increase the YouTube views.

5. Backlinks
Adding a few backlinks or inbound links to your video descriptions and sharing your channel URL will make a considerable difference to your videos’ ranking, and ultimately how many views you’ll receive. In addition, if you display the URL before your video description, it can easily be seen by viewers and you may get a few web clicks or clicks to your other videos, too.
6. Social Media
Sharing your existing YouTube videos on your social media channels is a great way to get the videos seen. If you post an old video on social media, there is a big possibility of new fans or followers seeing the video.
