South African Airlink is South Africa’s first airline feeder network, linking the smaller towns, the regional centres and hubs throughout South Africa. They have been one of our biggest clients for many years. In fact we built thier first website for them back in 2000. So, when they approached us to re-design their website we were leaping for joy at the opportunity.
Airlink turns over a lot of business. They carry over 80 000 passengers each month and they wanted their website to be as user friendly as possible. In brief, they wanted their thousands of passengers to have online access important information they need before departing – from baggage allowance to the latest specials – as well as the option of booking and checking in online. But the website was not only going to be a advertisement of information but a handy online transit tool for their customers. This is exactly what we launched for them in April 2011.
If you log onto www.flyairlink.co.za you can access the flight schedule map, drop in your information and see what flights leave where, when, and when they return. You will also have access to a booking tool where you can cancel, change and pre-book your journey. If you’re considering private jet travel, you can shop around at Jettly to find the best deals.
On a design point of view the website was brought up to the latest layout specs –clean, uncluttered layout. Most notably is the width of the website. With visitors screen resolutions growing over the last few years we went wide – 1200pixels to be exact. This presents the air of urrr, ‘freedom’ – which happens to be their motto.
Log on for a view. You might just find a great deal on a flight to the perfect destination…
